Today's itinerary included a trip out to Asakusa. Yay! Shopping is always fun there! We did get cleansed and bought omamori at the Sensoji Temple. The best part was that some Sakura trees were in bloom! Double yay!! On our way back to Shinjuku, we decided to take a detour back to Ueno and Ameyoko-cho to see what we weren't able to the day before. Had a slight altercation with the JR Service Rep in the Ueno Station who didn't want to let us out of his office. But it's okay. We got out of there and made it back to the hotel. Whew!

It was a beautiful morning so all the bedding came out

Asakusa Mall

Camellia or Peony? I'm not sure.

Not sure what kind of citrus tree, but the newly opened Tokyo SkyTree is in the background.

I happened to be sitting when it was time for the maintenance workers to come out

This Sakura tree happened to be behind the fence.

But who can read the sign anyway? I got a branch to pose for me anyway.

Check out all the stuff you can choose from to grill. I took the  Top Shell.

Down this street there are figures like this on the  buildings. If you don't look up, you'll miss it.

But I really wanted a picture of the guy with the Pampered Poodle.

I just had to have this picture. The sign says Wantanmen. Really???  Check out the one next to it. Tyu-ka soba. Chuka Soba? And I'm sorry I missed the one below it: Misora-men.  Named after Misora Hibari? Maybe Miso Ramen? I could go on, and on, and on with this...

While most folks don't have large yards here, they do plant in pots most beautifully.

Stamina and Hormone Store

Ueno Station, where were almost trapped.
