ATC Card Swap

I'm participating in Pineapple Cove's monthly ATC swap. This is only the second month. Last month's theme was butterflies but I didn't take any pictures. HA!
This month I did take pictures!!! I get an ATTA GIRL for that, don't you think? September's theme is "Recycle". So here's my three cards.

The Rose one on the left is a recycled greeting card, recycled lace and ribbon and a hand-rolled rose using scrap paper.

The middle card is a paper punched tree, leaves and flowers using scrap paper. The rubber stamp is from Basic Gray.

The last card on the right has a flattened bottle cap, an old candy wrapper, recycled tea bag pouch and tag. The flower is punched from an old soda can and the tab holding the plastic ribbon is also from the soda can. All are collaged on to a clear acyrlic base backed with SEI paper.
Whew!

What happened to 2010?

Okay, so let's just forget 2010 and move on!
It's now the middle of 2011 and this blog is still under construction. What can I say?
Life happened last year and took me away from trying to learn to build this blog but I'm back now and hope to slowly learn how to make it pretty enough to look at.

Mardi and I were really happy to be able to take the Copic Certification class in May this year in Las Vegas with Marianne Walker. Yay! That was fun! I'm hoping we'll get to do the Intermediate class next and/or the Mixed Media (right up my alley!) class if it's not too far away. Being in Hawaii is really tough on the pocketbook to go anywhere since it' not like we can just drive there. :(

Two weeks later found us in Seattle for a retirement party for a friend I've worked with for the past few years at the NOAA Marine Mammal Lab. She is now happily golfing every chance she gets! Lucky lady! I still have a few more years to go...
