All day Altered Art Adventure 3 today at Rubber Stamp Plantation. Had a great time...even though my neck hurts now. Thanks Pam Yee and Deb West!
We started with a warm up collage and then cut the page to make ATC cards and swapped them.
The real class was the gelatin monotype printing and bookbinding.
You start out with a "flat" of hardened gelatin.
Brayer on some paint...we used acrylics and Luminarte's new line of "Silks" acrylic glaze. It's got mica in it so it has a great sheen when dry. Similar to Twinkling H2O's, but acrylic, not watercolor.


You can't see all of it, but off to the left of this picture you can see the gelatin has turned color. Looks like cherry jello.



So I took that gold paper I printed and used it for the book cover.

Look at my ugly fingers. You know, paint and blood looks the same.
